hey everybody,
as stated in the subject, my backup sets keep disappearing. i have 4 PC's backing up to one "storage" computer on a daily basis. every morning i check to make sure my pc's were backed up the night before, only to find the backup sets on storage are gone. usually there is a little "+" sign beside the storage PC to let me know there are sets under it, but that is not the case. when i check the computers that are being backed up, it says the backup failed because the backup set was deleted. checking the drive where the sets are being stored(on the storage pc), it shows that the sets are in fact where they are supposed to be. disabling the 3 logmein backup services, running the "logmeinbackupservice.exe -recoverbackupset 0", and then starting the 3 logmein backup services again surely brings back the sets on to my pane, but that victory is only short-lived because the sets disappear again before the backups can complete.
i checked my internet connection and it is as steady as can be. i thought at first it was because i was using windows 2008 r2 64-bit, so i downgraded to just 2008 standard 32-bit...but still nothing. i then moved the storage location from my USB 3.0 external, to an internal drive, and it still does the same thing. there are times when it will go two days (most) without failure, but having to reset this thing every time is getting a bit annoying. i even created a batch file to do this little procedure and i have it scheduled to run 30 mins prior to the scheduled backups, but still it doesn't help the situation. i don't know what else to do, so if anybody has any suggestions, please let me know. thanks.
