Credentials not being stored firefox chrome IE

I am accessing central via a few different browsers none of which will save the credentials. In IE 9 Windows 7 it will apply and verify the credentials but then if I leave the screen and come back there are no credential saved. I also use firefox and chrome on imac (lion) and there it verifies the credentials but then the frame hangs and I can't click in any of the boxes or buttons. If I switch to host preferences and back to credentials the frame works but there are no credentials.

This is rendering my one2many functionality unusable.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Mike

No ideas except to echo your problem. You using the old Central or Beta Central. Ever since I started using the Beta my credentials will not be saved, even using credential Manager. Very frustrating, as I really like the new interface, but I'm wearing my keyboard out and patience with having to tape a password list

Re: Credentials not being stored firefox chrome IE

Thanks for your reply. My original post was on the release version of central.  I have just tested on the Beta Central and can also confirm that Windows 7 IE 9 does not save credentials when I move off the credentials screen and that firefox 10.0.2 on OSX Lion the credential frame hangs after verifying credentials

Re: Credentials not being stored firefox chrome IE

As I was  on a trial of central and pro I had received an "everything going OK?" email from a sales person and I highlighted the problems to them. No reply as of yet. Since I just bought central and 5 licenses I guess I should file a ticket now as most of the functionality I want is predicated on credentials being stored! Will report back what happens.

Re: Credentials not being stored firefox chrome IE

OK so support got back to me. The reason for both the frame hangs on IOS and not saving the credentials on Windows was that I had changed the settings for flash so that it wasn't allowed to perform local storage. This was a recommendation I had followed as some sites had been abusing this ability in flash. Its basically flash specific cookies.

To enable this flash setting on the mac it is under System Prefereneces and on the PC its in the control panel.

Thanks Ivan

Re: Credentials not being stored firefox chrome IE

I sent the feedback to beta support on this issue for me. I found that I could save crentials fine in current Central, and if I created them in Regular Central then switched to beta they would carry over, but any created in Beta would not be saved.

They found the same issue and are kicking it up the ladder to the developement team.

+1 Same issue, using production Central, not beta.

Changing the settings for Flash in the Control Panel has no effect, 0 bytes of info stored.
