Define password for Deployment Link

Is there a way to provide passwords in LogMeIn Central so that the user who is going to install LogMeIn Pro (or Free) doesn't need to provide a password him/herself ?

Sometimes we don't have access to the workstation, and our customer would need to install LogMeIn themselves, but asking them to enter a password is going to be very confusing.

So an option to define the password ourselves, and just deploy it along with our LogMeIn account settings would be more user-friendly.

I agree. What you mentioned is only part of the confusion. If the user has a windows password, they aren't asked to provide the passcode. In that case, you have the user forward you their log on info. I find that many users are not aware of their exact user name since they never have to enter it.

A box that said, "forward user info to log me in account holder" would be nice too.

Re: Define password for Deployment Link

Hi,

I have the same question and need.

I need to deploy a link with a pre-defined password for both types (users with windows logon user/password and without).  The only nice thing to be prompted  would be the user name.

I attend all kind of customers with different computer skills and the deployment link has too many steps of clicking (next, agree, next, name, run, etc...) for my customers with low patient or low Windows skills.  And have to know each different user/password would be a major inconvinient for me.

I have an urgency in this answer cause this depends if I´m going to subscribe for the Logmein Central in this next couple of days.

Thanks.
