Mac OS X (10.6) and Logon failure - 1327

Hello and welcome everybody!

I have this interesting scenario on my Mac running the latest OS (10.6). I haven't had any luck finding a solution for this error message:

Error: Logon failure: user account restriction. Possible reasons are blank passwords not allowed, logon hour restrictions, or a policy restriction has been enforced. (1327)

When I installed LogMeIn initially, my Mac had an username with a valid password. Since then, for reasons I'll not get into here, I have had to disable the password feature for the Mac. Since then, I have not been able to remote into my Mac. I get the above error message.

When I installed LogMeIn on a different PC with no password, it asked me for a passcode and I entered that in. I thought to myself, maybe I could find preferences or something on my Mac to set up a passcode for me to access my mac remotely. No such luck.

So it is to this forum I'm turning to find out if there's a way to force my logmein on the mac to accept a passcode instead of a password -- short of removing logmein from the mac and removing the computer from my list and doing it all over again. This would be silly, IMHO.

Thanks,

Try uninstalling LMI from the Mac you changed the password on, and reinstalling, during which process you can specify a new password. There's probably a way to do this from within LMI but this is a pretty easy way to do it.

The LogMeInRemoteUser is used to create an Access Code.

The link below presents the Microsoft Windows procedure to create an Access Code post-install.

For OS X, go to Accounts and create the LogMeInRemoteUser there.
