Trying to connect two macs

I have two macs.  On the road w laptop trying to connect (for first time).  The web browser shows both computers.  I click on the one I want, and then the bouncing ball screen arrives for a moment (connecting).

 

Then it brings me to login screen.  I try to log in, and then get the following error:

 

Error: Access is denied. (5)

 

Can someone help?
