i want to connect via a laptop where no active x is available/ allowed,
secured pc.. therefore i need to configure java for session.
how to perform that, or is there another possibility?
i was able to switch to java if i AM connected, but not able to switch if i am not connected (but not able to connect cause active x not allowed by policy or other security related limitations.
which java version is needed?
we recommend using the latest JAVA Vm from www.java.com, they have Java VM environment 6 update 1 at this time.
When you are connected, go to Preferences > Remote control and set up default remote control type from ActiveX to JAVA. this only effects Remote control (chat) and File Manager function, everything else (settings or the IT Reach product interface) is simple html browsing.
You mentioned that you can configure the JAVA when you are connected, but you cannot connect for some reason... What is the message, what do you see when you cannot connect?
secure seetings do not allow active x controls fo webpages
is what i get displayed in try connect,
ok i can not connect to using active x,
but prob is that to connect to using java
i need a connection to change a special connection setting*g*
but i get no connect so what to do?
On the page, there should be a link "Click here to continue" if you cannot install ActiveX for some reason. That would still allow you to authenticate and connect to the remote PC, then start Remote control feature in the default JAVA mode.
