Re: Blank screen remoting OS X Lion 10.7

Same here. Black screens when I try to remote into the newly released, final version of Lion. What is the word on fixing this?

update for os x 10.7 lion announced on the blog: http://b.logme.in/

I followed the directions given in that link, and was told that the Feb 2011 build is the latest version! WTF?? I don't like paying $30 for iOS software that doesn't work. Apple will be hearing about this, maybe they'll pull it out of the App Store. LMI has had several months to resolve this-- the complaints about this go back to APRIL 4, for crying out loud!!

Again, I say: WTF???

Working great for me...  Have you guys updated the LogMeIn plugin for OSX?  They just updated it a week ago.

Click on LogMeIn icon in upper right, choose open LogMeIn, select About on the lower left, hit Check for Updates.  I've got July 13 as the official date of the new plugin.

Okay, just followed the instructions to manually update the LMI client on the Lion machine. That fixed it. I'm glad to have it resolved, but not that this had me resort to searching for answers and initiating an update manually. Most apps ping you when an update is out, at the very least. Methinks a lot of angry users would agree they should have pushed notifications out to all users.

Agreed on that.  I think I read somewhere that this update will now inform you of new updates going forward.

Re: Blank screen remoting OS X Lion 10.7

So how does one go about updating the Logmein app on a remote machine that runs Lion?

Because of the blank screen I can't get at the app remotely, and I can't access the machine locally in order to update it from there. Catch 22.

Anyone got any ideas?

Re: Blank screen remoting OS X Lion 10.7

This I don't understand...

Every time a major OS update is scheduled to be released, the GM version is available to developers to get ready and test their programs BEFORE the retail version is released.

How come everytime we run into issues just because the programs haven't been updated on time?

I'm not referring to the iPhone/iPad app, which may not yet be available due to the millions steps it takes to get an app approved on the App Store; I'm talking about the web interface. It should have been tested weeks ago, when OS X Lion GM was released.

Let's hope the devs will be fixing this soon. We don't have many more choices...

Several hours later, the update is available. Pardon my earlier outburst, but golly it's frustrating when my most expensive iOS app stops working when a long-announced update (OSX 10.7) happens on the server side.

Anyway, I didn't go whining to Apple  :)
