Disconnected

Researched the issue but was unable to find a solution.

Logmein trys to connect but then says "Disconnected" before I see the "Connecting" screen.

Connecting...
XXXX-cofqduhtws.app01-07.logmein.com (64.94.XX.XXX), port: 443
Connection failed.
[No error description found] Error code: 10061

The above are the details of the message.

My network is a little strange for now.

The main connection comes from our neighbors who are allowing us access to their router until we get settled into our new place. I then have a small wireless linux laptop sending the connection to our personal router. My PC is connected to my personal router.

When my wife connects directly to their router, I am able to use logmein on her PC.

When she switches over to my router, it gives me the same error message.

Should I be port forwarding on either router?

The linux box has the firewall disabled.

Re: Disconnected

Nevermind. I resolved my issue but thanks for trying.

I found that using Guidedog on the Ubuntu PC; I was able to forward ports 80, 8080, and 443 to my router which I gave a static IP. I may have only needed to forward port 80, but I added the rest to be sure.

Re: Disconnected

Well, I guess I'd have to take back all that hard research (even though I found a very usefull Ubuntu program). Looks like it was Firefox 5 all along. :smileyindifferent:

Re: Disconnected

But when you are not on the remote computer, how can you do that?

Re: Disconnected -The computer you're trying to access is already in a remote control session

I got a friend to restart the computer. I login remotely and get the same answer

The computer you're trying to access is already in a remote control session

So why does this happen. Only to the one computer. I have  others that work OK.
