Re: Ignition for Mac

I second this... I'll pay for a OS X Ignition app.  I'd also pay to have the LogMeIn Plugin for Safari fixed so it doesnt; a) slam the processor and b) a remote session window acts as a normal window where you can tab to it.

Ship it, I'll buy it ... it's simple as that.

Re: Ignition for Mac

Cannot agree more with everyone. Why is there no Ignition for MACs? It is extrememly annoying that I had to install Firefox just to run LogMeIn, and the remote control session opens a new browser session. It is nice to have the app for mobile devices, but c'mon, it is not really functional to work on a tiny screen. LMI, please spend a little time listening to your customers.

Re: Ignition for Mac

Face it guys this isnt going to happen. We've been asking for it for years with no updates from logmein, they say its in the pipeline, but clearly its not and they dont value our feedback to keep us updated or give us timescales, they now appear to have simply become arrogant and dont need to bother.

Ive pretty much stopped using it now in favor of other products that do the job and I'm sure I'm not the only one.

We persevered on the basis a mac version would be coming, but now I give up!

I agree with you w/regard to the lack of any feedback from the Logmein staff. It seems like they don't read their own forums. Shame on them. But I haven't given up all hope that Ignition for the Mac will appear eventually.

Which alternate tools are you using? I'm interested in alternatives.

[ Edited ]

Hi Dedicated Users, My name is Jon Hyatt, I’m on the Product Marketing Management team here at LogMeIn.  I know that this thread goes back for quite some time, and many of you have expressed great interest in Ignition for Mac.  I am happy to let you all know that we have released an Ignition for Mac Beta.

Now you’re only a click away from accessing all of your computers from any Mac with Ignition for Mac Beta.  You can now have all of the great features and functionality available in Ignition for Windows, including Remote Access, File Transfer and Computer Search, without having to open your browser and login.  All of the computers in your LogMeIn account will automatically appear in Ignition and are accessible with one-click access.

Try it out and let us know what you think, your feedback is always valuable to us.

Re: Ignition for Mac

From what I can tell it's working as expected.  The 6/5 update fixed the computer name description display.

Thanks!

Re: Ignition for Mac

Using it and liking it so far.   Between Citrix for published apps and LMI Ignition for remote control of the hundreds of systems we have to maintain, this is just about the best thing since sliced bread for us who are moving from Windows to Mac for our "daily drivers".

Thanks!
