What happened to reboot options?

Yesterday I installed logmein on a friends computer and I noticed that the icon in the taskbar had a new design.  Later when I went to login, I noticed that the reboot options are missing in the preferences.

Does anyone know if this functionality has also been removed from the free accounts, or am I just missing it?  Computers with older installations of logmein still seem to have reboot options in the preferences as far as I can tell...

If the functionality has been removed on free accounts, does anyone know the command to do a safe boot, with networking and logmein?

Re: What happened to reboot options?

The function is still there just buried now.

1) Click on your remote control icon

2) When you are logged in you see the preference below the remote icon or on the left of the screen

3) Click on that and on the next screen choose the last option Advance Settings

4) Halfway down the page you will see the "View Reboot Option"

Hope that answers it for you:smileysurprised:

I posted early on the beta board I thought it would be nice not to have buried it so deep:smileysad: but as you can see it's still nestled down deep!

The above solutions I think are leaving out an important fact on the above messages... you have to access "My Computers" from the web based logmein controls... you won't find "View Reboot Options" from Advanced Options from the installed LogMeIn software on your pc...

- Log into your web based LogMeIn account through your Internet web browser

- Go to "MY COMPUTERS"

- Locate the desired PC

- Click on the small MAIN MENU button just below the PC name.

- Locate and click on PREFERENCES

- locate / click on ADVANCED SETTINGS

- Scroll Down to REBOOT OPTIONS- click on VIEW REBOOT OPTIONS button

- Make changes as needed.

- GOOD LUCK- ENJOY!

I suggest that LogMeIn include REBOOT OPTIONS on the PC LogMeIn software!

Cordially,

Re: What happened to reboot options?

I still don't see the advanced options. When I click on main menu it tries to reconnect. I don't see a preferences option. Even if I did the screen is all locked up trying to reconnect to my mac pro.

Re: What happened to reboot options?

As of the end of July 2010, I'm also not able to find the Preferences tab/menu at all on any of my computers.

Is this feature discontinued?  Or something specific to my account?

Thanks

Re: What happened to reboot options?

Not sure what version you are using or not seeing Preferences Menu.

When you click to login to the remote computer or are logged in on the left of your screen should be 5 icons (if using Free) Home, Remote Control, Preferences, Help, and Disconnect.

The function is still there just buried now.

1) Click on your remote control icon

2) When you are logged in you see the preference below the remote icon or on the left of the screen

3) Click on that and on the next screen choose the last option Advance Settings

4) Halfway down the page you will see the "View Reboot Option"
