Configuring Hamachi

Hi i've just downloaded hamachi and friend and i tried to play diablo 2. I created network and he joined... it says green light and direct tunnel... but i can't ping him nor he can ping me... and we can't join each other over lan (yes i know one has to type hosts ip to join). Can someone tell me how to configure hamachi and what to do :)

make sure firewall protection is off. if you want to use firewall, configure it and allow game exe's to pass as well over firewall
