Downloading Logmein software fail

Hi,

Numerous atempts on downloading the software to my machine.

During the process I have been prompt with password too short and do not meet policy requirement.

I have tried to change caps, adding in numbers and case sensitive but in vain.

What can I do?

Re: Downloading Logmein software fail

Hello stelin,

Thank you for your question and welcome to the community!

Keep in mind, password policies are in place on whichever computer you're installing LogMeIn on. This would not be a LogMeIn issue in this case.

You may need to contact your IT personnel to inquire as to how to meet these policies.

I hope this helps.

Re: Downloading Logmein software fail

If your PC is on a domain at your workplace, then you have to use the domain password credential set up by IT. Just had an issue and after I did that it installed fine

Re: Downloading Logmein software fail

I have the same problem.  I cannot install logmein on a windows 7 pc. It always says "Password too short or does not meet requirements", then says the setup wizard edded prematurely.

I have no idea which password its talking about.  The PC is on a domain, but there are no password restrictuions, I am logged in as teh domain administrator, the domain administrators password is extremely compliex.

i have tried ever greater complexity of passwords, but there seems to be no solution - it seems like a bug in the logmein installer.  I see there are other people with the same problem, and no solution.

Re: Downloading Logmein software fail

Hello eos,

An Access Code is actually a Windows password. If you are being prompted to create an Access Code and then later it is showing the 'password is too short', this would indicate only that you are not meeting the computer's password policy that it has in place. It would not be a LogMeIn error.

I would suggest contacting your IT personnel (domain administrator), to inquire as to how to meet the computer's password policy.

I hope this helps.
