Gateway problems 0.0.0.0 / Domain over hamachi - How do I do that?

[ Edited ]

Ok, I have Windows Server 2008 Enterprise installed on a KVM Virtual Machine.

It has one NIC (network interface card) with the external ip configured.

I installed hamachi client, then I made a gateway network.

Then Hamachi bridged some things and did its job.

Then, I added my laptop to the network as a guest.

After that, this is what I see on the gateway/windows2008 server:

And this is what I see on the guest:

The gateway's IP is correct. But on the gateway, the guest IP is 0.0.0.0

After a while:

Am I doing something wrong?

Do I need some special DHCP or DNS configs?

The Windows 2008 is a fresh install, I just configured the Active Directory/Domain and DNS server. Didn't make the DHCP server and etc..

I guess there is no promiscuous mode on KVM.

Try enabling Compatibility Mode for your LAN adapter (not the Hamachi adapter) in the Bridge.

Also, you can right click on the network name, and open the Gateway Settings.  Here, specify a range and your DNS values.  As well as any other subnets your network may have.

Hi Sean,

I did that, but I got no results.

I was using a VIRTIO NIC, now I'm using a Intel e1000.

Is it possible to get domain working over a mesh network? I tried but with a mesh network the guest can't connect to the domain.
