The problem is that most game designers equate a LAN with a Class C address. This is the type of address where the first 3 numbers are the same, such as the Private standard 192.168.1.x. This of course is not true any longer with software vpns being so prevelant. This practice is continued today to force users into using the game designer's service to play over the internet ($$$$).
Hamachi 1.x.x.x had the ability to alias the IP Address to make it appear to be a Class C address, but this feature does not exist in Hamachi2.
You can, however, setup a Gateway network which will actually provide an IP Address from the LAN that the Gateway Node resides on, which will be a Class C address.
