In the upcoming months, LogMeIn Hamachi will be featuring Dynamic IP Address Assignment. This update will allow users to quickly and easily restore clients which have been offline for long periods of time without having to re-register. Users will now be able to switch the client back “on”, receive a new IP address, and instantly connect to their network(s). Hamachi will assign new IPs only to clients which have been continuously offline for more than one month.
As a result of this update, older clients must be updated continue connecting to Hamachi servers. This affects Clients prior to:
- Windows-1.0.2.3
- OSX-2.0.0.5
- Linux-2.0.0.11
- Linux-ARM-2.1.0.18
If you are using a version above those mentioned, you are not required to update, as this upgrade is happening server side. Those much older versions will not know how to use the new protocol due to their coding.
To update to the latest version, you can download our installation packages at our help site, http://help.logmein.com/SelfServiceDownloads
