h2-ui.log excessive updating

Is there a way to stop Hamachi from writing to h2-ui.log every second? The Hamachi log file is the most frequently accessed file on my hard drive.

This question was posted a few times on the older message board, but I don't think it was ever answered.

Re: h2-ui.log excessive updating

I have the same question.  h2-ui.log seems to update atleast once per second.  Here are the last few lines from my file (The asterisks are actually digits, but I'm not sure if they're safe to post):

05/10 16:35:56.989 ipc: received link_stats for [084-021-***] 0
05/10 16:35:58.189 ipc: received link_stats for [084-021-***] 0

05/10 16:35:59.789 ipc: received link_stats for [084-021-***] 0
05/10 16:36:00.189 ipc: received link_stats for [084-021-***] 0

It'd be nice if this happened less often.

Re: h2-ui.log excessive updating

Simply set the file to read-only. That worked for me.

Re: h2-ui.log excessive updating

Hi,

at first, why do you think this is a problem? This log file is rotated and has a maximum size, so space usage should not be a concern.

These writes are cached by the OS so I don't think they have any negative impact on performance.

Actually I'm pretty sure about that. Let me know your concerns.
