hamachi metrics problem

Hello, i have quite unusual problem with hamachi.

I saw a tutorial to how to play Racedriver GRID via hamachi. The solution was in the change of hamaachi network adapters metric from default, which was 9000, to 10. but when i do this, i am unable to use the internet at all. All browsers behave like the notebook is not connected,pidgin and steam disconnect, even hamachi fails to connect. What is wrong?

I have a Win7 64bit Hp Pavilion dv6 3180ec notebook.

Um.. sorry.. my bad, didnt use the search prior to posting this..

I changed the metrics of my pripamry network adapter to 1 and now seems the problem is over.. :D
