I am currently a very frequent user of the iphone app for Logmein ignition and have an iPad on order. What bothers me right now about the app is that if I'm working on something in public and need to switch between screens, I either have to go through 2 menus to do it or look like I am having a spasm while I shake the phone to switch between screens. Is there going to be another button or an option for a keyboard shortcut on the ipad (either the GUI keyboard or an external keyboard) that will allow me to switch screens more easily? I would love something like the remote client on the computer that allows me to click the button to switch screens.
My other concern is that with the iPad being a little bit more significant-in-size device, I'm invisioning quite a few you tube videos of business professionals throwing their ipads across the room accidentally as they try to switch screens....
I will say, some people find "the shake" to be an easy switch from one monitor to the next. That being said, looks like there's some interest in an alternative. I'll pass this feedback along to the product team!
UPDATE: The latest update for Ignition for iPhone/iPad includes a three-finger left/right swipe to switch monitors. Thanks for your suggestions.
I use the iPad with educational purposes. I'm very interested in using the LogmeIn Ignition application to show my students remote applications running in the host. For example I could use MATLAB plotting graphics... and my students could observe them projected in the classroom if the LogmeIn Ignition application was compatible with the Apple VGA connector for iPad. Is compatible at this moment?
I'm just learning to use ipad myself. The shake seems to undo the last action - hold the iPad vertical & give it a quick flick upwards. A dialogue box opens to let you undo or cancel. To swap between apps, put four fingers on the screen and slide sideways. Or press the Home button twice and choose from all the recently used apps, which will appear at the bottom of the screen. You can delete any of these from the list by holding the icon until it shows a '-' sign next to it. Press it to make it go (just off the Recently used list)
