Previously I had no trouble logging onto my home computer (MacBook Pro 17) from my iPad. However, recently, I tried to do so and after logging into Ignition first, I was then asked to log into my home computer. I was greated with a new request for my host "Computer Name" (not sure what this is) and password (know this by heart). I went to my host computer and looked up the "Computer Name" under the Sharing panel of System Preferences and entered that name EXACTLY as it appeared there on my iPad. However, using that combination of computer name and password I encountered a failed login error message each time. I have even tried renaming my computer and using the new name/password combo in Ignition on my iPad and that didn't work either.
By chance is there another place I should look, or another name I should be using, for "Computer Name" to get remote log in to work? Where do I find the magic "Computer Name" that Ignition is requesting so I can regain remote login functionality?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Sincerely,
SCDDA
