LogMeIn and Google Chrome

Any idea when LogMeIn will work correctly and reliably with Google Chrome?

It sort of works when you copy Mozilla files around, but not reliably.

Re: LogMeIn and Google Chrome

Count me in.  I'm pretty much only in Chrome nowadays, I only start Firefox or IE in some specific sites, like Logmein for which I use only firefox.

Re: LogMeIn and Google Chrome

If you download and install the new Java plugin Ver 6 update 10 (build 1.6.0_10-rc-b28) it actually works with logmein.

http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/ea.jsp although I find it still slower than Firefox.

Re: LogMeIn and Google Chrome

Thanks !

I can confirm it works beautifully with Chrome 2.0.157.2

I found these download links which seem simpler (it's a cut/paste from a Chrome forum):

The network installer...  Download and run and it will then go get the
rest of the install from the web.
http://javadl.sun.com/webapps/download/GetFile/1.6.0_10-rc-b28/window...

The full installer...  Download and install.

Re: LogMeIn and Google Chrome

FYI...Doesn't work on current, non-beta, release v1.0.154.48. The Chrome v2.0 is currently a beta release. No ETA when non-beta v2.0 will be released.

Re: LogMeIn and Google Chrome

Chrome 2.0 is beta, but then again Google is operating in beta most of the time, their beta quality quite often surpasses other non beta software, at least that's what i gather from my own personal experience.

Re: LogMeIn and Google Chrome

The performance under Chrome 2 seems a bit slower than Firefox 3, but it is really decent and only the initial load seems too slow.

The only big drawback I have found yet is when you view a remote screen that has a higher resolution than your local screen and you use fit to screen then with Chrome it is unreadable while it is scaled properly with Firefox.  So depending on your local and remote screen resolutions this might be ok or not.

Re: LogMeIn and Google Chrome

I've downloaded that Beta, but still can't get reliable service. It works sometimes, but more often than not I have to keep clicking the "Remote Control" button otherwise I just get a blank white screen. It seems to work best if I click it twice - slower than a double click, about 250ms - 500ms.

This may all be due to something else but it happens on all sites (I have 55 of them) and it always works OK with IE and Firefox.

I saw a trick on a thread somewhere that showed a trick of copying files from the Firefox folder into Chrome or was it into LogMeIn?). This worked fine but after a recent upgrade of LogMeIn this stopped working so well. I can't find that link now that explained what to do.
