Locks the remote computers desktop

I was wondering if there is a way to use LMI without it locking the other users screen the same way RDP does? Is there a setting that I am missing or is this an issue I need to resolve?
thanks

RE: Locks the remote computers desktop

Can you explain what you mean by "locking the other users screen" ?

Re: RE: Locks the remote computers desktop

I think I have the same problem, and will explain what is meant.

Everytime you use the 'remote control' to take over a screen and leave it unattended for some time, it will lock the desktop of the remote computer.

I even experienced that, if I use LogMeIn Ignition, take over a screen, close the window before it has a fluid stream, LogMeIn will also lock the remote computer screen.

Because I use LogMeIn to access screens that are in public spaces, this is a very inconvenient thing.

I would like to know if there is an option to 'never lock' a computer screen.

Re: RE: Locks the remote computers desktop

I don't think LMI ever locks a screen.  It may be that the computer gets hung up for some reason, and therefor, everything is locked up.

LMI can disable the remote mouse, the remote keyboard, and even blank the remote screen, but doesn't lock out a screen.

Something else is happening I think.

Re: RE: Locks the remote computers desktop

They are reffering to the Locking of the Desktop, not Locking UP of the Desktop.  The same thing as if you hit Ctrl+Alt+Del and "Lock this computer".

The options for this are located in the Preferences > Remote Control Settings menu

Re: RE: Locks the remote computers desktop

So I just found out that LMI does more than I knew !  :smileysurprised:

Now, when I get a chance (lol) I will have to play with that option and see if I need it.

Thanks for clearing that up for me.
