People have been requesting android support for over a year and a half.
Fast-forward to today, and you will find an increasingly agitated group of android users. Logmein's dismissive response has turned much of the discussion downright hostile.
After much fanfare, we now have an android "beta signup" page.
A month after that, have an android "beta signup" page.
Three months later, we have an android "beta signup" page.
Logmein has thrown a bone to the android dogs (and thrown a steak to the iPhone puppies).
Deja vu.
Let the waiting game begin.
The "insider" rumour is that LMI will soon pull the plug on any Android support. It will not be worth it for them to hang on to the few android users who have stuck around. The vast majority of us are using a variety of other applications - and continuing to lose respect for LMI.
Android have turned away from LMI in droves. LMI lost an opportunity with the most educated and tech savvy customer base.
Prepare yourself for another announcement from LMI some time around January 2011:
"We regret to inform you that LMI no longer plans on developing software for Android products".
