Logmein goes offline over VPN

I have a small issue were by a user connects to our network via VPN from their home internet connection but in doing so it makes Logmein go offline and it will only come back online when they disconnect from the VPN which makes remote management tricky, anybody else come across this?

Re: Logmein goes offline over VPN

Hello Mickbrad,

Thank you for a good question and welcome to the community!

Since VPN software and LogMeIn alike will both attempt to use the same ports when communicating on a network, they may very-well conflict.

I would suggest re-installing the LogMeIn software but specifying during the installation to install using a different port.

Here are the steps in order to do so:

Re: Logmein goes offline

I have been using logmein to access a remote office computer for some time without problem.  I could even start up the computer remotely when it was turned off.   I recently moved the remote computer to my home.  I have since been able to access the computer remotely, but after about 15 minutes of idle time, the remote computer goes "offline" and I can't access it at all.  I haven't changed any settings.  Any ideas?  Thanks, G

Re: Logmein goes offline over VPN

Hello Erik_E;

I am trying to connect my ewifes computer to LMI while she is connected to teh VPN. Unfortunately as noted above, this does not work. I see your link describing the process to install using a different port, but the link is broken. I have tried reinstalling, but proxy server seems to be teh only option. I dont know much about proxy servers, but I dont think this solution will work.

Can you help?
