New LMIC user, currently have all three add-ons. Here are some observations. 1. Please show the last user in the host properties. 2. Job Status page where we can see a quick view of what jobs are running and the status of each. Right now if you (ex) push a windows update to some PC's if you leave that window and go back to UPDATES > WINDOWS it starts you back to the beginning. The update history window is to cumbersome. 3. Allow us to access the Dashboard without auto launching a remote control session. 4. Allow custom fields (ex: in Computers) that link back to actual data (ex; last user logged on). 5. Ad-Hoc support is clumsy at best, too many non-technical users in the field just can't get this going. 6. For sending out updates give the option to wait until the device connects not just 1-14 days. 7. Allow for being able to resize all columns.RDiaz6 years agoNew Contributor1.9KViews0likes3CommentsLogmein and Idrive interfere with each other
I've ben using LMI for a while now but since I've installed IDrive (a cloud backup program) on a few other pc's LMI can go offline for some reason. I've done LMI updates and such but IDrive and LMI get's in each other's way. Has anyone else seen an extreme slowness when using the LMI Client app for refreshes? With the same amount of computers (roughly 2000), over the last 6-9 months, the client installed on my computer has slowed significantly. What used to take a few seconds, now takes 30-40 seconds to refresh. Other engineers at my company have noticed the same thing. This time is about the same when going through the browser to open a machine (versus the client app). I've tried other machines and different browsers as well as 15-20 locations (different ISPs). Same issue. All roads SEEM to be pointing back to LMI, but I'm not sure what else it could be.craft13496 years agoNew Contributor1.8KViews0likes4CommentsUninstall Kaspersky via LogMeIn Central
With LogMeIn seemingly ending its partnership with Kaspersky and now offering their own antivirus client, is there a way (maybe via One2Many) to uninstall Kaspersky Endpoint Security 11 on all Windows computers within one's LogMeIn environment?Solvedgristleizer6 years agoNew Contributor2.1KViews0likes3CommentsOne2Many task that runs based on current device IP address (or other criteria)
I don't see an option for this, I don't know if I'm missing it or if the option isn't there. Basically, I'm looking at having a task run based on where it is. The specific case I'm looking at is when a device is on our local corporate network (not VPN, but physically on the LAN), that it will copy a file from our server. While the standard One2Many would be fine to push a smaller file, this is a program update file that's over 500MB and will crush our guys in the remote field (single cell circuit shared by 3-5 client computers, 10Mbps down on a good day). I was looking at alerts with an attached One2Many task as a possible way to get around this, but I couldn't find one that was based on location (essentially, 'if at this public IP address, run task'). Does anyone have any info on how to do this, or if it even can be done?SCS276 years agoNew Contributor1.5KViews0likes1CommentLogmein client remaps printer on remote host
I have this issue in which logmein remaps my printer onto a remote host. Even after having disconnected from the remote host, it seems the printer is changed permanently on the remote host to my printer which logmein has added. As a result any machine that we use logmein to remotely access have their printer settings permanently changed. This seems to be a new change and its severely affecting my operations. is there any policy that can be changed on logmein central to have this prevented. Calls to support are NOT answered.jyzlim6 years agoNew Member1.6KViews0likes4CommentsWanted: Group folders for One2many Tasks and Plans
It would help a lot if one could create folders under One2many Tasks and Plans. When you get to the point where you have several pages of items, it can be hard to navigate to and select the plan you need. If we could create folders on various themes, navigation to that task you need would be quicker and easier.tkindig6 years agoActive Contributor1.2KViews1like3CommentsFeature Request: S.M.A.R.T. (Self-Monitoring, Analysis and Reporting Technology
Just about every other platform will monitor S.M.A.R.T. I am hoping that LogMeIn will take this into consideration and add S.M.A.R.T monitoring to their platform. While S.M.A.R.T is certain not perfect, it is a great indicator of possible system issues. If you are not familiar, S.MA.R.T is a monitoring system included in computer hard disk drives (HDDs), solid-state drives (SSDs), and eMMC drives. Its primary function is to detect and report various indicators of drive reliability with the intent of anticipating imminent hardware failures. If you want to see what S.M.A.R.T can do, check out Crystal Disk Info to check the drives in your computer. https://crystalmark.info/en/download/ ** I would suggest the Crystal DiskInfo standard edition, ZIP version. It will run as a portable APP and you can simply delete the folder when you are done with it if you do not want to continue to use it. I am not sure how to pressure LMI to do this, but I am in favor of a product that can make me more proactive then reactive. I hope you agree. Hit the Kudos or reply if you think this would be a good feature. Thanks for the support. JohnMaVeN6 years agoContributor691Views1like0CommentsComputers report "windows update service is disabled"
I have several computers connected through LogMeIn central, and a few of them reports that the Windows Update service is disabled. When connecting to them, the update service definitely is running, I restart the service, and also restart the computer, but still Central reports the same. The latest one which started reporting this is Win10, 1803, with LogMeIn client 12700. Please tell me why I can connect with ZERO difficulties to one of my client computers using TeamViewer and RDC, but when using LMI there is about a minute latency before it responds to any clicks, making it virtually impossible to support my user. Interestingly enough the user sees the clicks occuring at that time I'm clicking, but I don't until that minute later. This is only one client out of 50. I uninstalled and reinstalled, rebooted, tried lowering the color to b&w, all win updates have gone thru. I've tried it plugged in to the network, I've tried on Wifi. My speed is fine. No firewalls are on. All other pc's and laptops clients work fine. CSR worked with me for a while (THROUGH the Teamviewer application since that's the only thing that would work), then said that is the extent of their ability to help. I asked for 2nd or 3rd level, because this is NOT the extent of assistance ESPECIALLY when Teamviewer works flawlessly. It obviously is NOT my equipment. There is something up with this LMI client or the settings associated with it. I'm pretty frustrated right now and would appreciate anyone shedding some light on this issue, or giving me someone who knows more about this product. Capture Client to Supported AV
Currently our devices are showing no antivirus or Windows defender as the installed AV. We have Sonicwall Capture Client 2.0.6 with Sentinel Agent 3.0.6 installed. Prior to us updating to this new version of Capture Client log me in showed Sentinel Agent. Now Log me In is not recognizing our Sonicwall Capture Client at all. We would like to see an update for this to the reporting and show Sentinel Agent as our current AVchris2616 years agoNew Member617Views0likes0CommentsPop-up - Computer Info
Is there an on/off switch for the blue pop-up window with computer info? As I drag my mouse pointer across the list of computers (detail view, "computer" field), these little blue boxes pop-up. Of course they don't appear when the mouse pointer hovers over the monitor icon ("status" field). I would like to turn them off. Hey everyone, Just wondering.... I have over 100 client computers that we use to access dental information for dental offices. Many times local IT does something, adds something, deletes something from our computers and doesn't realize they have messed with our Logmein, but even then the computer still shows up in my list of computers until I or someone deletes it. It would seem over the weekend that I had several computers where there were issues on the user end, Logmein was disabled or deleted, but the computer is gone off my list of computers too as if we deleted it, but no-one has. Has logmein updated or changed the way this works? I talked to a rep earlier today and they said the only way for computers to get removed from our account was for them to be deleted... simply not true though. Any thoughts would be appreciated. I have been using logmein remotely a few days a week from my home. 2 days ago I can not get logmein on 2 monitors like I previously could. This is killing my production and I need that second monitor back. If I log in to the second monitor it logs off the first monitor and vice versa. Can anyone tell me how to get them both working again? I can use both monitors at my office, but not remotely at my home. I received an email to show that someone added a computer and then I found out it was deleted after 24 hours. But I've no idea how to check this out or report it to Logmein as a security breach. What should I do? The activity on that computer seems ratherhigh too so maybe someone has been upto something? Exchange 2016 server cannot connect to website
I have a Windows 2012 server that had the logmein client on and has been working for wuite sometime. This weekend I joined it to a new Domain and set it as the AD/DC and still had no issues with it. I then installed Exchange 2016 on it. The server can get to any internet website I tried but anytime I go to logmein.com it says that the website has timed out and I can't connect to the website. I had to uninstall the logmein client as it was showing unavailable and now can't get to the website to download and reinstall the client. Any ideas why it would only block logmein? So I've noticed that handle usage continues to grow with system uptime it seems. I'm not sure exactly, since this is above my paygrade, how detrimental token handles are, but any time resources are allocated and never freed is usually not a good thing. I'm afraid that once the handle count reaches a certain point with certain systems that system resources become exhausted and simple tasks such as opening Windows Explorer or a command prompt is unsuccessful. It seems that there's something missing in the token handle creation process that's stuck in a loop and continually creates new token handles while never closing/erasing/deleting the ones that were already created. Is this something that could be looked into from the development side? It just comes across as abnormal application behavior. Thanks. Edit: The pics below were taken from different systems with different uptimes, thus their handle counts vary, but it's the same problem where it'll continue to grow the longer the system isn't rebooted/Logmein service or executable isn't restarted. Hello, I have some Macintosh computers attached to a domain where the servers are Windows based systems. I'm using Active Directory. When I install LogMeIn on Windows clients, the software automatically makes me authenticate against the domain controller unless there are only local accounts found on the client. However, when I log in to the Macintosh clients, I am required to log in to local clients and cannot authenticate against the domain controller. This is an issue because when we set up domains/networks for our clientelle and they have OSX devices, we can't utilize the adminstrator accounts that we set up on the domain to access them. TL;DR - How do I get LogMeIn on a Macintosh computer to authenticate against a Windows Domain Controller? Thanks in advance!MatthiasINC6 years agoNew Contributor1.5KViews0likes3CommentsSecurity Code Required when User Logs on from Different Computer
I have all students in an online class using the same logon credentials. We are using LogMeIn Client vs. the LogMeIn Website. Since each student logs on from his/her own laptop/PC, LogMeIn wants to send a security code because the user is logging on from an "unfamiliar" machine. In order to get the code, the users need to login to the email account assigned to the class. I don't want the users to have access to that email account. Is there a way to turn off this feature, or to circumvent it using a different approach?Solvedsjr16 years agoNew Contributor3.8KViews0likes7CommentsLogMeIn Central not showing operating system
