Filtering and grouping by Antivirus not working
Hello, In the last 2 weeks or so, I have noticed the group by feature and the arrange by column are not working on Antivirus product. Grouping by AV product shows a single group which includes LMI AV and other products such as Defender, Symantec, Gatekeeper. This used to group properly so I could see what machines need LMI AV installing. Please fix this. I'm guessing the other problem is related. If I group by something else like the Status then try to arrange by Product, nothing happens. All AVs are still mixed up. It should put LMI at one end then Symantec, then Windows defender in an ordered list. I was hoping someone else noticed this and reported it but seems not so here I am. I have tried different browsers with the same result so please don't mention cookies and cache. It's not this. Are there logs of who/when a end user computer has its LogMeIn client removed? If a user has admin rights to remvoe LogMeIn from their machine, it also removes the object from central management, which doesnt leave us with much of an audit trail/log. I just upgraded a test system to the latest Windows 10 2004 released 5/27. But now LMI AV 6.6.16.216 states the "Current operating system version is not supported. Please install the latest product version." Is their another version available that I'm missing? Sophos showing up as three seperate antivirus products
In the new antivirus section on LogMeIn Central is showing up as three distinct products and returning an error in the attached image. Is there a way to clear this error as Sophos uses both Windows Defender and HitmanPro Alert. Do you know if there is a plan to add tracking to the status on this antivirus at some point as well? What is the actual underlying mechanism used to deliver a wake on LAN (WoL) magic packet to the intended host computer? I am very familiar with using WoL through LMI, so I am reasonably confident that this is not just an issue of correctly setting the myriad of different options in BIOS, Windows, device manager, etc. I have an entire office of people who have been almost exclusively working from home for the past 3.5 months, and I have had 10+ different models of host computers all successfully waking during that time *knock on wood*. But I needed to replace our primary hardware firewall/router 2 days ago, and have been experiencing seemingly random issues of the "switch on" button in LMI being grayed out for only a small % of host PC's. That is despite still being able to WoL all of the host PC's through another mechanism (separate from LMI). Immediately after replacing the firewall, the option to remotely switch on was grayed out in LMI for all of the host PC's. That is probably to be expected, because the connection to LMI's servers was disrupted. After booting the host PC's through another method, most host PC's were then able to be remotely switched on through LMI. But the option is still grayed out for several host PC's, despite all of the host PC's being on the same VLAN/subnet and all accessible to each other. And despite all host PC's still being able to be remotely switched on using a separate WoL method. I understand that LMI maintains a connection through the firewall as long as there is at least 1 host PC on the VLAN/subnet that is powered on. Is it the case that that particular host PC needs to have ARP cache entries for each and everyother host PC in order for LMI to consider all of the other host PC's as able to be remotely switched on? Or something like that? Update: It also seems to be the case that this situation varies depending upon which particular host PC's are currently powered on versus which are not. For example, the option to "switch on" through LMI is grayed out for both Computer A and Computer B. If I switch on Computer A using a separate WoL method, now Computer B is able to be switched on through LMI. If I then shut down Computer A again, now the option to switch on Computer B is grayed out again. Every couple of days the dual monitors flash black and she gets booted out and cannot continue working. I was at the office today so I took a look. Everything ran great while I used it in person. She reconnected and could see the screen but not do a thing.Rebooting fixes it so it is not a settings issue. Restricting access to specified times
Hello! Is it possible to restrict the remote access that a user would have to a computer to a certain time frame? I would like my employees to have access only during business hours. Right now, I have to disable them at the end of the day and enable them again the next day. Is there a way to automatically set access, for example, to 9am-6pm M-F, and restrict access outside of working hours? Or do I need to keep doing it manually? I've sent an invitation email to one of my users to access LogMeIn Central, and she was able to get that email. Outbound emails, with scanned attachments, are having the text body disappear after sending. After clicking Send, the text does not show up in Sent email, nor recipients received email. Within six weeks of working from home, twice I've had 25+ users that could not connect to their PCs in the morning. (A handful lost connection and couldn't reconnect later in the day - including me) This seems to happen to over half our users on one particular day. The error says to check network connection or host may be offline. What I know: Mix of Mac and Windows 7/10 clients (majority Win10) Hosts are all Windows 10 Updates are not always pending for either Windows or LogMeIn (it's a 50/50 mix) Rebooting client PC does not resolve issue No internet issue (it happened to me - I can verify no internet issue on either host or client end, as I was able to access the host PC with ConnectWise) All hosts set to never sleep or hibernate I can connect to all PCs via ConnectWise Only resolution I've found is to stop then restart LogMeIn via the host LMI control panel (or reboot the PC which does the same thing...) This module is perplexing to me. It could be extremely useful but it is non-functional for the most common types of Documents, like Word & Excel. If I copy a Word or Excel document into a LogMeIn Files folder I cannot open it from that folder. I get a Windows Security Enter your crendentials login box. The only way to open it is to download it first and then it open it from the local hard drive. All other types of files .txt or .pdf seem to work fine. This is on the latest version of the logmein client, with host software at version 4.1.0.13508 with both computers running windows 10. Trying to figure out what my GPO settings should be for Windows Updates so I can have Logmein Central manage updates. The plan is to have server patched every saturday night. When I apply these settings they don't seem to take and I'm pretty sure GPO settings are interfering with it. Some are set to install automatically and others notify before download. Some will not reboot after update etc. Right now in our Group Policy settings we have a Configure Automatic Updates set to enable but no other settings are configured.
