LogMeIn Client Script Error
Hi all, I'm getting a script error every time I open a connection to the home Main Menu Dashboard in the LogMeIn Client utility. The script error shows it came from https://secure.logmein.com/ws/host/AutoLogin/autologin_clientscriptsv2.aspx Any ideas what this is and how to fix it? It doesn't appear to be causing any problems beyond the annoying pop up every time I open the Main Menu. But, I'm afraid I might run into issues at some point beyond that. I'm working from home (remote) to my office computer (host). I have a Apple at home and HP with windows at work. I have always been able to log in no problem. The other day I somehow got bumped out and now everytime I go to log in it tell me to use my username and password like I'm logging into Windows. I do not have Windows on my home computer so I'm trying to use what I always have without any luck. I keep getting log in error 1326. In Reports: What is the difference between Remote Session and Remote Access Session?
Looking for an explanation related to reports and genrating them: What is the difference between Remote Session and Remote Access Session? - and then, in "Remote Sessions" between "Remote Control" and "Background Access" Is Remote Session just the time a computer was accessed (and related info..ip address, time...)? Once you choose Remote Access Session, there are two types of sessions on my report; Remote Control and Background Access? I could assume the Remote Control the user was logged in and remotely controlling the host computer; then Background Access, user is signed into the host but not using the host remotely? I read the user guide, did not include these options in discussion/explanation. Any guidance would be appreciated.... According to the Microsoft document below, a full reinstall of windows is required to disable Modern Standby. Remoting into systems that were headless or monitors were off- teams could open apps (Revit, Bluebeam, Sketchup) But the work areas/views to those applicaitons were blank. We could blindly select items but not see them. So we reset all power settings to always on and added monitors to the headless systems and set powerto always on- (PCI Link power settings toOFF so no power savings were available) And no everyone seems to have full visible access to the applicaitons and the content windows in those applciations. Is that really the solutoion? Do monitors have to be on wasting electricity for LMI to 'see' the applicaiton content windows properly? or is it the link state? I am a new user just switching over from GotomyPC. With GTMPC, you can choose as a default to start the remote session as maximized or in a window. This never quite worked for multi-monitors, as you had to start (or switch) to a window and the shift-click the maximize button to get multi-monitor support. With LogMeIn Pro, when things open on the remote PC, once I figured out that each source monitor was in it's own window, I dragged one to the second monitor at home, and now whenever I open LMI at home, each work mo nitor appears as a window one on each home monitor. That's an improvement. But they are still windows that both need to be maximized separately. What would be even better if there was an option for each monitor to open maximized in the first place, which I think is the whole point - to feel like I'm at work. I tried to search for this but so many of the multi-monitor posts are so old I don't know if this feature has been added. These seems like a simple enough option to add - open maximized. I have three monitors on my workstation at the office. I also have three monitors on my home computer. These have the same size/resolution/position configuration as the workstation at the office. I would love to be able to configure my connection to the workstation so that when I connect to the workstation from here all three monitors are automatically set to full-screen in the correct position. Right now it's a bit tedious to move everything around every time I connect. It seems like a logical feature to have, but I haven't found anything. Is there a way to configure this? Hi, Several people in my office use LogMeIn to work at home. Many users today are reporting that their connections are very slow. Tracert doesn't show any lag or timeouts between the end users and the office. I'm wondering what else I can do to troubleshoot slowness. I don't know enough about how LogMeIn works to know if there's a central server which connections go through that could be introducing the slowness. Two things are torturous with LMI. 1. On an iPad Pro 12.9, the scroll rate js far too fast, and is very diffucult to control. Could you add a speed/rate adjustment to the ios client? 2. Trying to "grab and drag" a window, or resize a column is extremely difficult. I try to double tap ten, twenty times trying to grab and cannot quite get it. I position the mouse cursor using the little mouse till the cursor changes to arrows, then try to push the left mouse button and drag, and nothing happens. Recieved this email on 05/11/2020@ 2:15pm. Other than my email being correct, (I removed my email) it did not make sense. The Red Flag is that the return email appears bogus. All updates are installed when you open the client to use it. You are told an update exists and should you install it or wait. Good morning. I’ve just been set up to work from home. My work computer has two of the older ‘square’ monitors connected by vga cables. When I logon to use my home laptop (windows 10), I can use this as my main display and I’m using my TV as a wireless second monitor. Whilst the dual monitor setup is working, the displays do not fit the full screen and the resolution is poor. Is the only way around this to install widescreen monitors at my work pc? Or is there another workaround that’s simpler and at less cost? I did see on another post about using a hdmi headless monitor emulator for situations where there are no monitors connected at host. This seems to enable you to select the screen size and resolution for your home set up. Does anyone have any experience with this as it would seem to be an acceptable and low cost solution. I accepted the latest update for Ignition (Client?) to 1.3.3907 on my PC. Now I can't drag and drop files from my PC to the remotes. My PC is Win10. Remote PCs vary from WinXP, Win7, Win8, and Win10. None of them will let me drag and drop files anymore (they use to). I can still transfer through LogMeIn's file manager, but that is such a pain (depending on the network folders that I'm using any given remote). Test #2. I went to another PC (Win7) that has 1.3.2437 on it, and it still successfully works with drag and drop (to a WinXP and a Win7 machine - I didn't test to other Win versions). Test #3. If I use the browser version of LogMeIn on my PC, and connect to the same remotes, then drag and drop works. It is only when using Ignition (Client?) 1.3.3907 that drag and drop stopped working. I remember this happened a few years ago, and took awhile to fix. Please address this sooner than that. Hi, first I wanted to say that's it's sad that you've stopped mail technical support. I don't see how not giving people to mail you in place of calling you, especially when maybe it's not an urgent matter will resolve your amount of calls. My main problem for now, is that I4ve recently place a second monitor to one of my hosts and the screen wakes up (not the computer, I don't put pc in sleep mode, so I'm jsut talking about screens here) and I logged in into my session, all the windows are centered on only one screen. I really think it's a problem with logmein graphic driver that re-organize the windows in case of multiple monitor. Can e have an update of the graphic driver to avoid this kind of behavior please? Hi All, Looking for suggestions. I have two users both using Mac OS Mojave on MacBook Pro 2017 models. Recently (in the past few months) we've noticed that when the support person (me) disconnects from the remote desktop session the user's apple returns to the lock screen (where they have to log back onto the mac). The computer doesn't boot (verified by up time) but the user gets frustrated becuase 1) they require alot of support; and 2) when I disconnect they are always returned to the lock screen. Lock Keyboard and Mouse are not active and we are not blanking the user's screen. We have also noticed that the apple will do the same thing long after i've disconnected from the comptuer. So what I'm hoping is looking for ideas on the apple side or LogMeIn that will help me diagnose this. I'm using LogMeIn client software either on my windows laptop or my macbook pro (although I prefer to use windows). And it doesn't seem to make a difference which machine I use. Experienced by myself, and several co-workers, after having installed logmein on our Remote PCs. The movement is exactly horizontal, and can be small movements that jitter back and forth, or wide movements that cover the entire screen. Resetting the remote PC does not automatically fix the issue, nor does unplugging the mouse. The issue will last for several minutes, and then stop. Can happen once or twice a day, and can happen daily, or go days without happening again. This will also happen when not connected to the Host computer through logmein. I suspect logmein's background process is at fault due to a) neither myself nor any of my co-workers having ever experienced anything like this before, and b) being able to confirm at least for myself that logmein is the only new software installation on my remote computer for several months before this issue started. I've had some succesful login notifications from York and Manchester - we don't have anybody in those areas using Logmein. This is literally 2 days after changing password to a very strong new one that has never been used before. Could a legitimate users Home Internet originate from or be routed through York or Manchester ..... showing up these places on the events list- even though they live nowhere near there?
