I've had an issue with a user trying to print to her home printer. It originally was just her home printer not showing up, but we resolved that with a batch file that restarts her spooler. Now, when she tries to print to it she's getting an error from the LMI printer port. I've been reading around, but I'm not sure what troubleshooting steps to take. My research has lead basically no where. Does anyone have suggestions for finding a root cause? It does work sometimes, so I don't think it's an issue with our work network/firewall. Hello, I am trying to decide on scheduled scan times and days. I would like to know what happens if the scan is missed - e.g. if a machine is offline. Will the scan start as soon as it comes back online or will it skip the scan for the next one? I don't want to set it in the late afternoon if there's a chance the machine will be asleep/turned off and then never have it scanned. I have tried searching Google and these forums with no success. Long time user, first time caller... With everything going remote, our Logmein Central and Clients are getting great use. I have always used for IT support but now everyone in our organization is very thankful for this valuable tool. ISSUE: added a users personal iMac so that I could provide remote IT help. I tried to reach someone at LogMeIn, but have given up...maybe someone here has the ability to let their IT team know their SPF setup is not correct.Not only is the SPF record incorrect, the person setting up the SPF record has used the "-all" syntax that tells the world that LogMeIn is REALLY SURE it is right. A couple of my users are complaining that scrolling is uncontrollable when working in long spreadsheets or Word documents. The amount of scrolling (either on the sidebar or using the mouse wheel) that historically would move, say, twenty lines is now moving hundreds of lines. I'm certain that it's due to the lag in transmission from the client to the host. Any suggestions I can share with them to control this behavior? Thus, the "Updates Installed" date is the most important information that we look for when doing workstation maintenance. Unfortunately, there is no function to sory by "Date Updated" within the Windows Updates module. Only Computer, OS, Status, Auto Action, Auto-Restart, Software, Important Updates, Optional Updates. I have 2 monitors at office and when I use a program remotely and opening a tab within, the tab will open onto my second monitor. Then I need to switch between monitors constantly. How do I set log me in to only view the main monitor? When sitting in front of host computer the tab opens on main monitor, it is only remotely that the tab opens in second monitor. I use LogMeIn Central to access clients' computers for accounting. I have several clients that I am unable to support in this way because their IT consultant has already setup LogMeIn to support their IT needs. I confirmed with support that there is no work around for this. For one client that had their own account for the owner to access remotely, I was able to have him add me as a user. Has anyone else had this issue? I would love to see this added as a feature! Even to be able to use the Ad Hoc Support feature would be great. With the world events happening, we have been adding more users to our LogMeIn Central account. We require to be enable Two Factor for everyone we add. But I am wondering how do I as an account administrator of the account turn off or reset a two factor account if someone looses their phone? Or is that account just compleatly locked out and we just need to create a new account with a new email alias? From what I can tell LogMeIn user account are only owned by the user themselfs there is no way for me as an inviter to password reset or manualy disable two factor. I know like in LastPass there is an option for a account administrator to remove the two factor and the user can login and turn it back on and enrol the new phone. If you were looking at it, here is what I see. I click the nuc in LogMeInCentral. I am prompted for the username and password. I enter that successfully. I am taken to the Central interface that gives me metrics about the nuc. I see the remote control window pop up, and I see the desktop wall paper of the nuc, and the reconnection spinner immediately pops up. After about ten seconds I am disconnected from the nuc on the remote control screen, and disconnected from the screen in my chrome browser that gives me metrics about the nuc. If I go look at the nuc, I see an Error from LMI Guardian. It reads "LogMeIn Guardian has deted a problem with the LogMeIn software installed on this machine. I now have at least 2 new users who are set up with the latest client app on Windows 10 in Active directory domain and set up their permissions in UAC as well in the Logmein Control Panel on their remote PC, but both are getting the WIndows 10 lock screen and not able to invoke login or shows the desktop but unable to lauch apps on the desktop or navigate using Windows Explorer, Also made sure Windows Firewall is turned off, but this made no difference, If I logon to their PC's all works as I am a Network/Domain Admin. I have given them the proper rights in Security of Logmein Control Panel yet they cannot do anything once in. I am at a loss at this point and fear I will have to make the local admin of their PC's to get this to work which I really do not want to set out to do. Please suggest any changes/ recommendations. I'm attempting to use LMI to work from home on video editing projects through Premiere pro. Everything is set up and working, but I can't hear any audio from my Premiere pro (or any adobe products). I can hear video that is played from the finder preview or through quicktime or even itunes, its just Adobe products. I have several Windows 10 PCs I need to manage under LogMeIn Central. They were previously used under a different (trial) logmein account. That account has had all users and computers removed and the trial is expired. I am attempting to use a custom deploment created from our dashboard to reinstall these machines. LogMeIN and LogMen client have been unistalled. When I install with the deployment tool, it installs, butr asks to login and does not start the service correctly. If I log in, it shows both the old account and the new account. The computer is added to the old trial account instead of the account the deployment was created from. I have tried uninstalling several times and removing any LogMein folders and registry keys to no avail. This occurs every time I attempt to install. I have around 100 clients across the US that I administer. In the past 3-4 months, I have been unable to connect to one of my clients PC's (2). On one PC (Win 10) I can connect to the dashboard, but never the PC (connection fails). On the other PC (also Win 10) I cannot even get to the control panel. Both show version 13508 in Central. I assumed issues with old infrastructure, and have replaced everything except the cabling in the walls (DSL modem, Luxul router and Luxul switch. We even upgraded the DSL speed from 10 mbps to 25 mbps. Chrome says user redirected too many times
A user on a client computer is receiving a message from Chrome that secure.logmein.com redirected them too many times. Chrome suggests that they clear their cache, which they've done without success. Hi, I'm on a central trial and from what I can tell there is supposed to be an ad hoc support option available under the computers list but it's not there. Does anyone know if this just isn't included in central or if it only appears after purchase etc? From youtube videos it should be there and I can't see it moved anywhere? Aloha... We have no problem installing the LogMeIn AV module by way of Central. The problem is, after installing, it can't patch. And it always has the indicator that 'update' is failing. But we have a proxy on our network between the desktops and the Internet. The LogMeIn application works with that proxy without any problem. When we disable the proxy for a desktop, then the LogMeIn AV application is able to successfully communicate with Central for updates and patching. SO: Is anyone else having a problem with the LogMeIn AV reaching your desktops by way of a proxy server and, if so, have you managed to overcome it?
