Resolve not reverting back to the default printer after a remote support session

I raised the below as a ticket to support, and they have asked me to post here as a feature request

however if anyone can help with this, it'd be appreciated

I hope you can assist please.
 
How do we prevent a support session changing the remote machine default printer and not changing it back at the end of the session.  Ideally we would like an agent template where the remote printer does not get changed.
 
We have found an article relating to LogMeIn central - but cannot see anything relating to LogMeIn resolve and we are encountering this problem.

For LogMeIn Central, the fix seems to be in Host Preference -> Remote control -> Remote printing -> Uncheck enable remote printing.
 
We don't have LogMeIn Central anymore.
 
How is this done in LogMeIn resolve please as it is causing us operational issues where we connect and support users but windows does not change the printer back for the remote user from the resolve printer after the session ends.

    We will be adding controls for disabling the remote printing feature in the near future. I will post an update once a release date is available.

    Welcome to the Community. It is coming; the setting to turn off the Resolve printer is scheduled for the end of November. 

  • I wanted to check to see if there has been any progress on this. It's extremely frustrating for end users and support agents alike when the default printer does not change back to the user's original default printer. It would be nice to have the option to disable it completely if it's not a feature you would ever use.

    Chiming in to say that we really need the ability to disable remote printing as well. We have no need for remote printing at this time, and it is causing us lots of issue when remoting in to computers with specialized printer configurations for printing to thermal printers. Doesn't seem to be as much of an issue remoting into standard office machines with laser printers, but still would much prefer to have it disabled like we could do with Central.

  • I put in a ticket with support and was asked to post here.  I don't have any need for the LogMeIn Resolve printer yet, it becomes the defualt during a remote session and does not revert back.  I have fielded many calls from frustrated users.  Please add an option to disable even switching the default printer.  It is not used at all in my organization and has only caused problems.

    I apologize for the frustration. At the end of the session the client's default printer should switch back automatically, I will check if this is an issue we are already working on and if the team needs log files to look into this further. We plan to introduce controls for the Remote Printing feature in the near future.
