Add device not working

I've had several instances where a device wasn't showing in the list so I send the user a link to join a remote session. When I'm connected to them and I click on the button to add the device it comes up and asks me what group I want to put it in and I choose that then I put in the admin username and password for admin mode, but when I close out of the session the device was never added to my unattended list.

What happens if you create a desktop shortcut to one of the problem PCs?

Sorry, I was wondering if you have the nickname by itself created outside of any groups. 

 

Do you know if these problem machines were re-imaged at all?
