Desktop app audio issues

I'm experiencing very frequent and short, irritating audio drops and cuts when hosting my meetings with the desktop app. This applies only to computer audio. There are no similar problems with the Chrome browser either but in turn the picture gets a bit blurry every now and then although it is set to 720p, 60 fps and looks good on the preview window of the Logitech C920 camera software. The connection is stable and fast enough (dowload 90 Mbps, upload 44 Mbps) and the computer processor working load is only 25-33%. 16 megabytes of RAM.

We experienced some disruptions on VoIP audio today with GoToMeeting:  https://status.gotomeeting.com/ 

 

Please let us know if the audio drops continue, and if you get the same results on all devices and networks.

Hi Ash, we have experienced these continous audio drop and cut outs since we started to use GoToMeeting desktop app in March; they seem to like more a feature than occasional disruptions. We also have tried three computers, three different external microphones and two separate internet connections but there is no difference. We have used the audio issue reporting functionality twice but haven't received any help. There is nothing wrong with the sound when using  the browser app for some reason...

@JM3 Have you been able to test a completely different network as well? 

Do you hear the same effects when dialing in by phone?

Yes, we have tried other, though a lot of slower network and modems as well; it gets even worse. Voices don't disappear when using phone connection.
