Voice Quality issue During GTM Audio Conference

Basic questions. During a conference with several people attending, inevitably there is a wide variation in attendees' connection bandwidth.

1) What does GTM do to the overall audio and video of the conference when , say, when one attendee's bandwidth falls to and then below the minimum recommended?

2) Does GTM preserve a minimum audio/video quality for the entire group even if a caller's connection becomes terrible?

Our software will try to automatically adjust the gain on an attendees computer, in order to provide a consistent volume on the conference call. Ideally, attendees will be using headsets rather than built-in microphones.

Re: Voice Quality issue During GTM Audio Conference

Hi @bpotenza,

If an attendee is using computer audio and has bandwidth issues it will not affect the quality of the other attendees, except in how they hear that attendee. All attendees are making individual connections to our servers.

Re: Voice Quality issue During GTM Audio Conference

Thanks GlennD. Actually I was not describing a bandwidth issue. Assuming excellent bandwidth, if the participant occasionally speaks extremely softly, will the GTM System track his lowering audio smoothly to any sound level? Or is there a minimum sound level needed by GTM in order to be transmitted throughout the conference?
