PCoIP settings

Do PCoIP settings apply to GoToMyPC? Someone's spouse sent me a bunch of registry/group policy settings, etc, to try to resolve their lag issues. I can send the actual screenshots if you want but they were too big to paste.

Thanks

Subject: PCoIP settings

Here below are a few ways potentially can improve the PCoIP experience, in terms of image quality and frame rate (responsiveness, or less laggy).
Increase the minimal network requirement to establish a PCoIP session from your host machine (the workstation in the studio):
1. Run gpedit from search on your host machine
2. Navigate to Computer Configuration –> Administrative Templates –> Overridable Admininstrator Defaults –> Configure the PCoIP session bandwidth floor
3. Enable the configuration, and set it to somewhere between 5000~15000. Click Apply.

GPU offloading (this will take advantage of Nvidia h264 hardware accelerated compression to speed up the PCoIP process, vs relying on CPU to do all the work)
1. Run gpedit from search on your host machine
2. Navigate to Computer Configuration –> Administrative Templates –> Overridable Admininstrator Defaults –> Configure PCoIP Ultra
3. Enable, choose GPU offload. Click Apply.

Frame rate vs image quality balance (in case of limitation of your internet speed, you have to choose between image quality or smooth UI interaction and video playback)
1. Run gpedit from search on your host machine
2. Navigate to Computer Configuration –> Administrative Templates –> Overridable Admininstrator Defaults –> Configure PCoIP image quality levels
3. Set the 3rd number to adjust based on your situation and requirement. Default is 50, but for example, if you need the smoothness of playback, image quality is less important, you can set the value to 0. Click Apply.

Re: PCoIP settings

Hi @awphillips

GoToMyPC does not currently support PCoIP protocols, though we are considering it for development in the future.
