Introducing Anytime Trainings

Hi,

I am very excited to announce the release of Anytime Trainings for GoToTraining.  This new feature, include in the Pro and Plus plans, allows you to have your training available anytime, anywhere!

Easily recording your session using online recording, add tests and materials then share with your learners.  Your learners will be able to register to watch the recording and then take the tests and download the materials that you associated with the session.

Re: Introducing Anytime Trainings

Questions:
  1. I don't have a publish switch on my recording library.
  2. I run multi-part courses, with 8 recordings, how do I do that with this new feature?
  3. If I run these as on-demand courses, how do I register a student to the anytime training so I can keep track of who has access to the recording?
Please advise.

Thank you!

Re: Introducing Anytime Trainings

Hi Glenn -

I love this... have been waiting for a long time.   I would, however, like to know if I can upload my own video recording (one that has been custom edited), and add a test or materials to it.   Simply recording a live session isn't always the best to share because you can't edit out information, glitches, etc..

Can you upload your own training as an "AnyTime" training and still add tests & materials?

Re: Introducing Anytime Trainings

Hi Barb, it looks like you are part of a corporate account, so your Admin may not have this feature enabled yet.

Hi Glenn, Thanks for your response. I am the admin. Where do I go to enable it?

Re: Introducing Anytime Trainings

Hi Barb, so I checked with our team to see if this needed to be enabled or not, all GoToTraining Pro and Plus accounts should have it by default. Can you log into your GoToTraining Organizer account again, select My Recordings and look for the Publish switches next to each of your uploaded recording again?

The column is there, and there is space for it to be there, but no switches!

Thanks for your continued help!

Some more instructions on using Anytime Trainings

If your recording is not associated with a previous training session, you can still Publish it and add test and materials and customize the registration.
  • Log into your account and select My Recordings from the menu on the left
  • Upload your recording or locate an existing one
  • Click on the Publish switch displayed to the right of the recording, you will be told if there are tests and materials associated with it already or not
  • Click on the recording file name and new screen will open
  • Edit the materials, tests, registration and payment settings and catalog settings as needed
  • Share the registration for your new Anytime Training via the Share menu at the top
