Since the days of recording GoToWebinars to the cloud, I have not had to convert the temporary video files stored on my computer.
I searched the GoTo help pages and found old information about how to do this.
Here is the process I just used to convert a temporary recording on my Macintosh hard drive to a usable .mp4 file.
Go to the Applications folder and find GoToMeeting.app.
Right click on the GoToMeeting.app and select Show Package Contents.
The application will open like it was a folder.
Inside that folder I found a Contents folder. Open that.
Open the Helpers folder.
Open the GoToMeeting Recording Manager.app
The GoToMeeting Recording Manager program will open up.
In the GoToMeeting Recordings Manager window, place a check mark next to the recording(s) you want to convert.
Click the Convert Recordings button to start the process
When it is done, at the bottom of the window click the Open Recordings Folder.
This opens the folder (Finder window) with the recordings and allows you to drag the new .mp4 file to wherever you need it.
I figured out how to do this after I accidentally deleted a recording file in the GoTo cloud (online Video Library), and at the same time I deleted the temp files from my computer. Luckily I run each webinar on two computers, so the temporary video files were still there waiting for me on my second computer.
