Please add .africa email suffix to email validation

Our colleagues in Africa cannot use their work email addresses to register for GoToWebinar sessions because their email address ends in .africa (the new pan-Africa email suffix); the form does not submit when registering. They have to use their personal email addresses to register for our sessions while everyone else can use their work email addresses. Please add the .africa email suffix to the next release.

Here is an example of the use of the suffix: robert@acme.africa

Thank you.

Re: Please add .africa email suffix to email validation

Hi

I have the same problem - I have a large international event and several of the African organisations now have .africa email addresses. This is URGENT for me - I can't have respected delegates not enter the webinar.

How do we raise the urgency?

@MK3 I'm sorry about the delay, and expect an update in the coming weeks from our development team.

Re: Please add .africa email suffix to email validation

Hi AshC

Thank you for the quick response. But this is really a PR nightmare. Do you have any workaround or suggestion of how we can have this fixed in the next 24 hours?

Thanks!

Re: Please add .africa email suffix to email validation

Hi MK3,

Thanks for helping raise the visibility on this.

We told our colleagues in Africa to use their personal email addresses as a work around; obviously not ideal, but it gets the job done so they can watch the webinar.

Hopefully this is addressed in the next software release.

Best regards,

Rob
