After our webinars, I download our recordings and send to our video editor who then adds special company intros and outros to them. She asked me the below question recently. Is there a way to edit the Recording settings, such as the px, or is it set in stone by GTW? It is not urgent....I am just wondering?
"Could you please record the videos on 1920x1080px?"
It used to be that the pixel dimensions of the recording were based on the window or display that you are sharing with the webinar audience. Now I find that no matter what I share with the webinar audience, the recording is always 1920x1080. These are recordings that were recorded to the cloud, not the local desktop.
I am doing this on a Mac, but that should not make a difference.
I just ran a series of four tests.
First was sharing a display that is 1600 x 900. The recording was 1920 x 1080.
Second was sharing a 900 x 900 window. The recording was 1920 x 1080. GoTo added black bars on the right and left side of the recording to make it a rectangle.
Third was sharing a 1440 x 900 window. The recording was 1920 x 1080. GoTo added black bars on the right and left side of the recording to make it a rectangle.
Fourth test was sharing a computer display that is 2048 x 1152. The recording was 1920 x 1080.
Based on these tests, I cannot find a way to get anything other than the 1920 x 1080 that your video editor wants.
