We have recently upgraded our GoToWebinar account in order to get access to the Simulated Live webinar functionality that we believe will help us ramp up our webinar activities by offering more frequent sessions to our target audience in a resource efficient way. Once live we found out that the connector with Pardot, our marketing automation solution, does not support this new webinar type. This means we will need to manage registrations and update prospect cards manually in Pardot, hence instead of ramping up webinar activities this is creating more manual work for our marketing team. When will the simulated live webinar type be available in the GoToWebinar API to support the Pardot connector?
This should really be on the top of the list for your developer team.
Offering the simulated live feature without being upfront about the lack of connectivity reflects poorly on LogMeIn.
Totally agreed, it's the same for HubSpot. Implemented and then found out AFTER THE FACT that it CAN'T integrate attendee information on simulated lives. Have yet to find a solution outside of manual export of EACH individual sessions (we have multiple simulated lives per day - we are talking hundreds of webinars).
Support for Simulated Live webinars and the GoToWebinar v2.0 API is now available: https://goto-developer.logmeininc.com/gotowebinar-api-overview-v2
Does this mean that GTW Connectors to marketing automation tools like Pardot and Hubspot will be automatically updated to support Simulated Live webinars? Or will we need to push our marketing automation suppliers to update the connectors?
I Believe the developers for those integrations will need to review the updated APIs, and make updates to use them.
