2 Factor Authentication failed with Salesforce Authenticator

Anyone else having the issue where as soon as you login to lastpass it will prompt you for 2-factor authentication only it will instantly fail then take you back to the login screen.

This occurs in Chrome, Firefox, and Edge extension or logging in lastpass.com website directly. uninstall/reinstall of extension did not work.

Figured this out. Salesforce is having issues with their verification as a service that extends to the salesforce authenticator which was used by the users affected in my case.
