Auto Login not working in shared folders?

Hi!

The credentials I have in my personal folder allow me to open a site and be instantly logged in. Credentials I have that are saved in a shared folder, for the same login URL and with the same settings don't behave the same. It opens the site but won't auto-fill and auto-login.

Sites from my private folder:

Click the Chrome extension

Click Favorites

Click the site I want to access (which is saved in one of my private folders)

Boom: it opens a new browser tab with the login page, fills it and logs me in. Total = 3 clicks

Sites in shared folders:

Click the Chrome extension

Click Favorites

Click the site I want to access (which is saved in a shared folder)

It opens a new tab with the login page where the username is missing and a random password seems to be in.

I must then re-click the Chrome extension

Re-click Favorites

Re-click the site I want to access (which is saved in a shared folder)

The username & password are filled in, but I must still click the Login button

Total = 7 clicks

Are there known limitations of the shared folders explaining this? Or would there be something else that I can do, as an admin,  so that me and all my users can log into sites from shared folder with as little clicks as possible?

Re: Auto Login not working in shared folders?

Hi @geicko,

Does this happen to all sites in a shared folder? We're not able to reproduce this with some test items in a shared folder when we try the scenario listed (the site opens after clicking the item in the LastPass the site launches and logs in with the shared credentials), could you try unsharing and re-sharing a site to see if the Launch button then works as expected?

Please also be sure the "Disable Autofill" option is not enabled when editing the item as well: https://support.logmeininc.com/lastpass/help/disable-autofill-for-sites-lp020004 (under the "Disable autofill per site" section)

The home directory can not be shared from the root, so if your end goal is to ... username, either it being local Windows user or global Active Directory
