We are thinking about storing credentials of our customers inside LastPass. We would like to create a shared folder and within this shared folder a folder per relation. We would like to have a direct link towards this vault folder so we can save this inside the CRM system. If we lookup a relation that we easily can click towards this vault folder.
Is there anything for this?
Hi @Jos21,
Shared folders can only be accessed by users who have been given permissions to view the folder so there isn't currently a way to share a link to the folder directly, the user would need to open their LastPass Vault or open the LastPass extension and find the shared folder. The most direct link to access the shared folder would be https://lastpass.com/?ac=1 and then the user can access the desired credentials in their Vault.
Hi @RachelO ,
Thanks for your reply. I understand that this user needs to have access, but assuming he or she does have access, would it be possible to create a direct link to this share? What I now understood from your previous reply, does this mean it doesn't exist?
We would like to link this to our CRM system, so we can directly click towards the credentials of a specific customer. This now holds us back, because we don't want to look up things manually in all systems, but only once in a single system and directly click towards the details of this relation.
If this isn't support, could this then be registered as a new feature request?
Kind regards,
Jos van der Sanden
Currently there isn't a way to create a URL directly to a credential in a Vault that someone could click to view an entry in their LastPass Vault. You could use the LastPass browser extension to autofill the credentials in to the login fields for your CRM, if the site allows, to autofill the correct credentials on to the page.
Hi @RachelO ,
Thanks for the quick reply. But we managing more credentials then only websites. Like for example linux servers, windows servers, ssh connections, etc. So we would like to be able to find all credentials / notes of a single relation.
But as I do understand this, it isn't supported. Could you please put this in as a feature request?
Kind regards,
Jos van der Sanden
Sure thing, I have passed this along to our team as a request for consideration in future updates.
Does anyone know when this feature will be added?
