We have an employee that created a personal/free lastpast account using their company email address. If we invite that email address to join our Business account and assign a paid license to them, will they lose all their existing saved passwords?

You can invite an existing email address, though the acceptance must be taken on their end, and there are some things to be aware of at that point, mainly the Business admin will have full control over the login. My suggestion would be to have them use an alternate email address, which can still be linked separately to your account.
