Re: Sharing folders between linked LastPass Teams and Famili

Same problem here.
I have a team account and a family account and if I share any family account folders with others family members they disappear on the linked team account.
I sent a support request weeks ago but never got any response except for an auto-reply.

This is no support at all for two paid products, which is highly disappointing.

Shared family folders disappear on linked team account

I have a lastpass Team Subscription for my company and just upgraded my personal lastpass premium subscription to a family subscription.
The problem now is, when I link my personal family account to my team account, all my family shared folders are missing.
As there is no option to share a family folder with an external team account, I have no option to see my shared personal folders when I'm logged in to the team account which has the personal family account linked.

This makes the family subscription and the sharing completely useless.
How can I share folders with my family account and also can still access these folders when logged in to my team account?\

Same exact problem here. Work just got an enterprise account, but its useless linking personal account (Family) since the shared personal folders don't show up.

Hello Aaron,

Thanks for clarifying!
We are sorry for the inconvenience, but that is expected because the shared folder in your personal account is not really visible in the Teams/Enterprise vault due to its limitation. Your Personal Shared Folder is being treated as a "shared folder" within your Teams/Enterprise Account and that's the reason why you can't see your personal shared folder.

We have a feature request to allow viewing the personal shared folder from within the Enterprise/Teams and I will add your ticket to this feature request.

If we have answered your question, we will send you an email in the next few days asking for your feedback. We value your opinion and thank you in advance for taking the time to click on the survey link and let us know how your experience was with our team.

It is a folder in my personal account that I had already shared with someone else? I tried removing that person I shared with, but that did nothing.

Hello Aaron,

The person who shared you the folder will have to remove you and add again.

I've linked my personal account to my enterprise account. The sites that were already shared do not show up. How do I 'unshare' these sites to then have them come up. The FAQ did not address how to 'unshare'. Why aren't some sites working in my linked personal account?

\n\nShare this answer\nThe linked personal account folder between a LastPass Enterprise user account and a personal user account operates as a Shared Folder between the two accounts. When viewed within the linked account folder, these sites are subject to the same limitations as sites in Shared Folders. \n\nThese current limitations are:\n\nCannot add sites that have already been shared (or are in a role). You must first unshare these sites.\nThe website allows viewing and editing, but doesn't allow moving into/out of shared folders. You must use the local vault for these functions.\nSites can be copied to multiple folders but must be updated manually in every folder. The better option is to use 'restrict' to limit access for specific sub-set of users, rather than copying the site into multiple folders.\nForm fill profiles cannot be shared.\nSites entries cannot be directly imported into Shared Folders.\nSites in the linked account cannot be shared when logged in as the Enterprise account. You must login to the personal account separately to share those logins.

.

Why doesn't the administrator call the dedicated enterprise support phone number in the admin console?

Re: Sharing folders between linked LastPass Teams and Famili

I was just about to set my work up with LastPass Teams, but am hesitant to screw up my personal family account. I would love to have lastpass at work but don’t want to deal with all the annoyance of managing two accounts. LastPass, when will you get this working?!?!?

Re: Sharing folders between linked LastPass Teams and Famili

This is an awful design decision. If the business account is linked to the personal account, and the personal account has access to something that is shared with others, or shared by others, then the business account should be able to access it too.

This is a seriously bad design, and - given that I am using Lastpass Families personally - affects 2 paid-for products. I cannot believe that this is not being addressed, after being known about for so long.

Do I seriously have to duplicate everything that's in a shared folder!?

Re: Sharing folders between linked LastPass Teams and Famili

I too am not happy about this. Huge limitation, throws a wrench into the entire experience for anyone going between a families account and a linked business account. Just opened a new case with support, but it appears this has been in feature request mode for over a year. Terrible.

Case number: 12505821

Re: Sharing folders between linked LastPass Teams and Famili

Wow, just hit this crippling limitation myself. As an existing enterprise user and a solutions specialist this is going to be a risk. I want to reduce the possibility of enterprise credential leakage so only enterprise lastpass sessions should be used.

Having to open another browser session to use family shared credentials is unacceptable. This is counter productive and goes against the vision of centrally managed secrets.
