Android 11 Gboard Support for Autofill

I saw the new version of Gboard on Android 11 has integrated password input. I would love to see LastPass support this.

Fully agree that this feature BADLY needs to be implemented for LastPass on Android.  The experience on my wifes iPhone already utilizes this keyboard direct integration and makes it so much more reliable to auotfill the login information

Here is an article from Android Police that outlines this feature, it just requires LastPass to implement it.  So far, I know that several of the competitors are either working towards or have already implemented this feature like DashLane, 1Password etc

This is desperately needed. The experience is very poor on Android right now and I'm thinking of switching to 1Password if they don't implement this soon.

Definitely need this. LastPass on iOS is a dream and gBoard integration would bring things up to that level. Currently, LastPass on Android is so clunky and unreliable. Pop up windows only show up a little bit of the time.

I requested this last year before I made the comment here.  Their support was not helpful at all.  I tried 1Password and I haven't looked back.  I cancelled my family account and took my business elsewhere.  Recommend you do the same.

When is LastPass going to upgrade to support Android 11's Autofill API?

As an iOS user and Android user, the autofill on Android experience is just flat out terrible. Part of it is Google's fault as the old Oreo API (2017) was extremely unreliable and app developers have been slow as hell to embrace it. However, it seems other password managers like Bitwarden and 1Password have upgraded to support Android 11 for months now and Lastpass is lagging behind....

Yeah, I went ahead and moved on to a new password manager. Bye!

@ahow628 Which password manager did you switch to and why did you choose that one?
Thank you,

Tom

Ended up going with BitWarden. It is open source, $10/year for individual ($40 for family plan), and supports all the major browsers and platforms.

I've been cleaning up my vault using the BW security tools which will check for weak passwords, missing 2FA sites, and checks for non-https sites. I've got passwords for a lot of dead sites after nearly 10 years.

It also has an option keep your 2FA codes with the password. Very slick, no separate app. I use Authy for my BW 2FA and all my other 2FAs in BW.

Most importantly, they support the Gboard suggestion bar method that everyone in this thread is asking about.

I've not used it a bunch yet, but so far I like it. Everyone who was commenting on Reddit and elsewhere about LP's new fee structure crowed about BW. I'll probably keep LP around till my renewal in July.
