Sadly after being a huge advocate of Last Pass for almost a decade this new asking price is silly for a password manager alone, even with their 25% off pricing, after VAT was added it's almost £30 a year. I just picked Kaspersky Total Security with their anti-virus that's topped all independent lab tests for over 10 years now, includes a dozen security tools covering everything from webcam blocking, network protection, data encryption, activity wiper, and their own password manager to boot, for just £39.99 and that's for 2 devices for 2 years, so on a per year basis it's actually cheaper that the cost of Last Pass alone. If I was able to defend paying almost as much for Last Pass as I do for a full on security suite Last Pass would need to run like a dream, but as it goes, especially on mobile devices the form interaction overlays are shockingly bad at misinterpreting when they are required to activate, the amount of timing I'm just trying to type in a search bar, or reply to a chat window for a support team and it pops up and screws up what I'm trying to write because it won't get off the screen is just beyond frustrating, especially as when you actually need a password half the time it doesn't register either, so it's over sensitive to things it shouldn't be and can't detect things it should. Some of the UI decisions are just plain awful too, not to mention how many duplicate passwords it's built up over the years because it struggles to tell that 7 Identical Instagram logins all with the same username and password wasn't enough copies, it just keeps making more without rhyme or reason, it's Just bad quality control all round IMO. I accepted it because it was a very useful tool otherwise and it was free, and if they were asking a more realistic price (£5 is more realistic IMO, £8 max, or a lifetime price of £30 I'd have been happy to pay) for their continued use I'd be more than willing to fork out, even if just for the simple convenience of not having to move north of 1000 passwords to a new password manager. But in it's current state to think they need to get a grip on what their product is actually worth.
