Re: Android Mobile Use and Autofill NOT WORKING

Hi @irecycle,

It sounds like you've already tried uninstalling the LastPass app, restarting your device, then reinstalling. If you've already made sure autofill is enabled following these steps: https://support.logmeininc.com/lastpass/help/how-do-i-enable-and-use-autofill-in-the-lastpass-passwo... you could see if there is a possible Firefox setting causing autofill not to work as expected. Our team is also working on updates to improve the Autofill experience on Android and hope to release those updates soon, although we do not have an ETA or timeframe for those updates currently.

Re: Android Mobile Use and Autofill NOT WORKING

Unfortunately when I posted a similar problem back in Jan 21 in this very thread I received a similar response, that work was being done to improve the autofill experience with no ETA at that time. Its not about 7 months later and still no ETA, yet my renewal is about to come up for payment. If by now there is no ETA my guess is there probably are not improvements coming and I will seriously need to reconsider staying with LastPass. Its still painful to use and not convenient at all. Further some of your support pages say LastPass does not support use with Firefox mobile so going through any of the suggestions made below really wont change anything.

Re: Android Mobile Use and Autofill NOT WORKING

Yep. When my renewal is done im done.

Their support for Android stinks. Ive been waiting for the autofill to be fixed for way to long.

1password best i can tell is the best option.

Re: Android Mobile Use and Autofill NOT WORKING

I'm guessing it was the people who purchased LastPass who decided to increase cost before/without fixing the functionality issues.

I've been on 1password now for 6 months. I was sorry, after many many years of recommending LastPass, to be forced to switch, but it not only lacks LastPass' serious functionality problems, 1password is more secure.

Re: Android Mobile Use and Autofill NOT WORKING

Sadly, none of this is helpful. Especially a bummer since I am now a paying user. I certainly will not renew if this is not resolved, I hope it becomes a priority. I am sure you have the knowledge base at LP/LME. Please fix, it's a bummer to mostly just be annoyed by this once functional tool.

Re: Android Mobile Use and Autofill NOT WORKING

Yup. As I said, the root cause of the problem isn't to restart, uninstall, reinstall apps. It's the fact that LastPass still does not have keyboard based autofill over a YEAR after it has been introduced in Android. Competitors like Bitwarden and 1Password have had this feature for at least a year now, and we're getting Android 12 pretty soon. This is an absolute joke.

I let my LastPass Premium subscription expire last month. I've moved on to 1Password.

Re: Android Mobile Use and Autofill NOT WORKING

I have had the same experience as everyone else is having. Auto fill works for a short time then quits silently. The solution is to disable (set it to none) then enable it again, which is extremely frustrating. Maybe it's Android's fault and not LastPass? I have a large number of passwords in LastPass so I really don't want to change, but the mobile app is driving me nuts and the desktop app stopped being maintained years ago (it currently has a fatal flaw related to 2FA). Only the desktop browser extension is worthwhile. I hate to say it, but I need to try out 1password.

Re: Android Mobile Use and Autofill NOT WORKING

it does all sorts of weird crap now on android. wants to auto fill when i dont need it to ive been slowly migrating over to google chrome password.

1password works alot better than lastpass but it still has issues

ive not had one issue outta Chromes built in password deal. you can even save the app icon outside of chrome.

only thing it dont do is other app password autofill but i think its only a matter of time.

getting tired of lastpass not working correctly and support stinks
