Can't login on android, app is requiring GoogleAuthenticator but that is disabled in my account

I tried to log in to the LastPass app on android today, and after entering my master password it prompted me to authenticate with Google Authenticator.   But I don't have multifactor auth enabled for my account, and I've never set up Google Authenticator with a matching entry for LastPass.

When I try to disable google authenticator, it lets me put in my email address, but then complains that my master password is wrong. But I can log in with the same email/password on my laptop just fine.

I uninstalled and reinstalled the app, but still see the same behavior.

So right now LastPass is useless for me on my phone:

  • I can't log in because it wants a code from Google Authenticator that I cannot supply
  • I can't disable multifactor auth because it rejects my (correct) password

It works fine in the browser on my laptop.

Any ideas?

I have exactly the same issue and when you go to support for help it says either,  log in (just to annoy you since that's my issue I can't) or post here and I can see noone responds since your post is a year old.

Really rubbish.
