Up until earlier today, I was able to log in to the Android app using my fingerprint. I then had reason to use my master password via the web site, found that..... I have forgotten it (despite having been convinced it was so brilliantly chosen that I would never forget it!) and ended up getting my account temporarily suspended. To my horror though, when I next tried to use the app, I found that the option to use my fingerprint had vanished. So I now have no way back into the app. If I could magically re-enable logging in with my fingerprint, at least I'd have access to the content of the database.
Does anyone know how to get fingerprint login back?
Thanks

Hello,
When the LastPass app is fully closed (such as if the device is restarted or the app is closed/crashed) or if your settings in the LastPass app are set so that you are automatically logged out after a certain amount of time, this will force you to log in to the LastPass app again with your username and master password--you can only use your fingerprint to unlock the app once it's been signed in to with your username and master password.
If you had recovery via biometrics enabled in the LastPass app you could try that method of account recovery, the steps to do that are outlined here: https://support.logmeininc.com/lastpass/help/recover-your-lost-master-password-lp020010

Thanks @RachelO
I was just trying the application out, so no real harm done and a useful lesson learned. I've reset and started again.
Hey there,
i ran into the same problem. Suddenly biometric finger print cannot be used to access the account. I ve enabled password recovery by finger print if i remember correctly. The recovery process starts by asking for my finger print, which i am able to confirm and get to the next screen. I am asked to enter a new master passwort. After confirming those, the application processes the request and jumps back to the initial screen where i startet the process. Hence it does not provide an error message or confirmation the new password was changed. I closed the app completly and entered the new master password. Only then i get an error message: Check your Master Password and try again!? To see if i did something wrong I tried this whole sequence 3 times, just to obtain the same result.
I wonder if its a bug or means i have not selected the biometric recovery process. But then i wonder why i can start the proceess...!? Any suggestions or advice for me?
I have a OnePlus 6 phone running Android 11 (Oxygen 11.1.2.2). Biometrics does not work to log in, neither is it consistent with my security settings. When viewing the password on my passwords information, sometimes I need to use my fingerprint and other times I can view the password straight away, even though the setting is that I always need to use a fingerprint.
Six months ago biometrics worked well. I have reinstalled LP, removed fingerprints and security and thereafter reinstalled etc, but nothing seems to work.
