Hi,
I am trying to run Last Pass on a Samsung Galaxy Tablet SM P580 running Android 8.1.0. When I enable last pass autofill. It works with some of the Android app, but fail to work with Google Chrome Browser. Keep in mind that this used to work but now when I click on an input field, it does not bring up the last pass prompt.
I have uninstall and reinstall last pass and made sure last pass is exempted from being optimized by the battery. What is the cause and the workaround?

So it doesn't look like anyone is answering and from poking around on Reddit, it doesn't look like I am the only person with this issue? Is anyone even working on a fix does this mean we need to look for a different password manager?

Hello @paulsiu, sorry for any frustration. We are aware of autofill issues with the newest update on Android, and our developers hope to have more news or an update for the Android app soon to resolve this issue.
Thank you. I mostly want to know that the problem is known and that they are working on it.

One more thing. The issue is not just with the latest Android. I am using Android 8, not the latest.
I actually think this is a bug that you are seeing in the Android LastPass app.
I noticed recently that the behavior in the Android App changed such that if you have "disable autofill" set, it will no longer let you click and tap to fill in your username and password. If you uncheck disable autofill, it will work again.
The Android behavior is different than in Windows. In Windows, if you have autofill checked, when you go to a website, your credentials will be autofilled without any action, which I do not like. I want to right click to add my credentials.
The behavior being different across operating systems is really bad because that means I either have to give up security or convenience half the time. 😞
I have had problems with LastPass failing to Autologin with Android 9, 10 and 11. Windows 10 version is much better. I use Microsoft Edge as my browser after having problems with Google Chrome at one stage, although I think that problem has now been resolved. Using LastPass on Android is a pain.
