Hi all,
hope you can help.
I have registered by Yubikey and enabled it (via OSX App) in the multi factor security menu.
When I go to my IOS device and login, im prompted for password and then 2FA.
When I chose to authenticate by holding the Yubikey next to phone, last pass just sits there waiting to read the key and eventually times out.
I do know NFC works as I have used it to open the Yubico Authenticator app as a test.
Im running ios15.0.2 and latest Lastpass app.
Thanks
Solved! Go to Solution.
Ive managed to overcome this eventually. It turns out NDEF wasn't configured to use Slot1. Using the YubiKey Personalization Tool I was able to enable it under the Tools menu and Lastpass now works as expected.
I hope this helps someone else!
Hi @HiZ,
Could you try following the steps here to make sure your Yubikey is compatible with LastPass for iOS, and also try the troubleshooting steps here for using your Yubikey on iOS as well.
Hi, thanks for the reply.
I had seen that setup video and everything is good until the point she reads her tag. Thats where mine fails.
Interestingly though I don't know if the 'NDEF' is set right becuase the NXP NFC Taginfo app does ping with success but then says "No NDEF records' when it reads the key. Should this app read a bunch on information?
In order to check/set this up I need to use an unsupported app detailed here https://support.yubico.com/hc/en-us/articles/360016614700-Setting-the-NDEF-Slot-for-NFC-Usage which is disappointing. When installing this it doesn't seem to like my stick "unknown error occurred". Is this ability not included in the supported Yubikey Manager application?
Furthermore, Ive just heard back from Lastpass who says there is a known bug - though Im taking it with a pinch of salt for now until you can confirm the NFC Taginfo should show me more info.
Thanks

Hi @HiZ,
We would definitely recommend reaching out to Yubikey for that information, to be sure you get the correct info: https://support.yubico.com/hc/en-us
