Not finding if ".com" is in the name

I've started noticing that in iOS apps after clicking the "passwords" button on the keyboard to bring in LastPass that oftentimes LastPass won't find the domain because it's looking for something with ".com" in the name. I have to edit the search to remove .com and then it finds my password.

Good example is the Playstation app. When I click through to Lastpass it doens't find a matching login because it's searching for "sony.com" but if I just delete ".com" and leave "sony" it'll find it.

It's annoying to have to keep doing this for multiple apps that I use regularly. Is it possibly to teach lastpass to ignore ".com" in the domain when searching?

Re: Not finding if ".com" is in the name

Hello,

This may be due to some app/site developers not associating their App with a URL (app developers are recommended to associate a URL with their app, so that in this case password managers can associate your entry for Sony.com with the Sony or Playstation app), as a workaround could you try editing the entry for a site (such as the Sony.com entry) in your Vault and adding a note in the Note section of LastPass to add the app name?

For example, the Sony.com vault entry you would add "Playstation" in the Note area. This way, when you are logging in to the Playstation app if the sony.com entry isn't automatically shown to log in with you can search "Playstation" and LastPass should show you the sony.com Vault entry.
